HEAVY TRAFFIC TAX
REVISION DEMANDED. Per Press Association. ASHBURTON, June 19.. The annual conference of the MidCanterbury Farmers’ Union decided to demand the revision of taxation cn heavy traffic under the Motor Vehicles Act, also to draw the attention of the Department of Agriculture to the high prices of manures and fertilisers. \ The conference carried a resolution ol protest against the motor-car tax, speakers urging a tyre tax.
