FRENCH WAR IN MOROCCO M. PAINE EVE TO INVESTIGATE. Reuter's Telecr*' PARIS, June 9. Addressing the Cabinet, M. Painleve, the Prime Minister, announced that he was going to Morocco in the evening by aeroplane, accompanied by M. Eynac. Under-Secretary for the Air. Australian and N.Z Cable Association (Received June 10. 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, June 10 The "Daily Chronicle” correspondent in Paris says M. Painleve told journalists that lie was flying to Rabat in order to discuss with Marshal Lyautey the best means of dealing with the arrogance of Abd el Krim. He would probably bo away four days. It is believed the Government is disappointed at the progress of the campaign. It had anticipated that the Riffs would be speedily crushed. There has been some "talk of changing the high command, and the names of Generals Deheny and Weygand have been mentioned. A message from Fez states that a French bombing aeroplane caught fire in thu air and crashed. Her bombs exploded, and the pilot and observer were killed.
