CONFERENCE IN AUSTRALIA. STRONG BRITISH PARTY. Reuter’s Telegram. LONDON, March 20. The Empire Press Union announces that arrangements are being completed for the assembly of the Imperial Press Conference in Australia in tne autumn. A delegation of 50 members, under the chairmanship of Lord Burnham, will consist of thirty from the United Kingdom and Ireland, eight from Canada, four from New Zealand, four from South Africa, four from India and the Crown Colonies. Among the delegates from the United Kingdom will be Viscount Burnham (proprietor of the “Daily Telegraph”), chairman of the conference; Major J. J. Astor (proprietor of “The Times”), Lord Apsley (“‘Morning Post”), Right Hon. C. W. Bowerriian (Labour M.P. for Deptford and general secretary London Society of Compositors), Sir Harry Britain (prominent newspaper man and organiser of the first Imperial Press Conference), Sir Elmsley Carr (editor and part proprietor “News of the World” and other papers), Sir William Davies (.editor “Western Mail,” “Evening Express,” and “Weekly Mail,” Cardiff), Sir Howard d’Egvilla (general editor of Publications of Empire Parliamentary Association), Sir Edward M. Iliffe (a director of the ‘‘Midland Daily Telegraph”), Sir Roderick Jopes (chairman of Reuter’s), Sir Joseph Reed (general manager and part proprietor of the “Newcastle Chronicle”;, Mr H. T. Cadbury (“Daily News”), Mr David Davies (editor and part proprietor of the “South Wales Daily Post”), Mr Perce Vallandon, Mr Ernest Woodhead (editor “Huddersfield Daily Examiner”), and Brigadier-Gen-eral E. B, Cuthbertson.
