SELWYN FOOTBALL CLUB
ANNUAL MEETING. The Selwyn Rugby Football Club met, last evening and discussed the matters of importance for the coming season. Mr H. Buck presided. Forty new members were elected. The election of officers resulted as follows: —President, Mr H. Hahk; vice-pre-sidents, same as last year,''With the following additions: —Messrs J," Burns, P. I/uxford. B. Hines, and G. H. McLeod; •secretary, T. de Lisle; assistant-secretary, A. Winchester; club captain, G.‘ Flack; tie: surer, H. Buck ; selection committee, J. Baigent, A. Lindsay, A. de Clifton, .T. Barrj. management committee, A. Lindsay, J. Ottaway, J. Scadden, S. Wogan, F. Hendry, N. Austin, F. Cooper; delegates to W.8.U., A. Lindsay, F. Laws, H. Buck. , t Arrangements for the proposed trip to Raetihi to play the annual match with the local club were left in the hands of a committee. The gymnasium is to he opened as soon as possible. A practice match is to be held Aext Saturday week, probably at Lyall Bay. Votes of thanks were passed to Messrs J. Ottaway (retiring secretary) and F. Laws (the W.R.U. delegate).
