BASKET BALL
"Y” GYM. CLUB; There was a large attendance at the meeting of the "Y" Gym. Basket Bali Club, held on, the 18th instant in the Y.M.C.A., which was presided over by Mr J. A. Duffy., The minutes of the last annual meeting were read and confirmed, and the balance-sheet for the 1924 season adopted. Mr Duffy was unanimously re-elected president, and the officers for the ensuing year are as follow: —-Vice-presidents, Mossrs L. J. Brabin, H. D. Growcott, J. L Hay, A. Kitto, B. Steptoe, Miss I. M. Gray, Mrs F. Bawlinson; coach, Miss I. M. Gray; secretary and treasurer, Miss M. Tucker; club captain, Miss E. M. Ayling. A trophy is to be presented to the most improved player during' the coming season, and it is, anticipated that this will be keenly contested by the players of both teams. ' It was decided to make •an early start with the practises.
