“We have had many inquiries in regard to your wonderful Auckland. Islands, and would like you to send us some small view books of the City of Wellington and other cities, also assorted postal* cards of places of inter-ft-atad a letter received at the meeting of the Wellington Chamber of Commerce from the Canadian Ilaiiway News Co., Lid. The matter was referred to the secretary of the chamber. A departure from Auckland on Tuesday was the motor liner Aoraugi for Vancouver, via Suva and Honolulu. Besides cargo and mails the vessel had on board 800 passengers, of whom 320 embarked at Auckland. During the AorangFs stay at Auckland she was visited by a number of people. A crowd of about one thousand witnessed h4r departure from the wharf. Mosquito bites were the cause of th\ death in Fiji recently of Mrs Sollitt, mother of Mr C. F. Sollitt, of the Colonial Sugar Refining Company’s staff. Mrs Sollitt went to Fiji from England to visit her son. She suffered severely from mosquito bites from the time of her arrival. Towards the end bloodpoisoning set in. and this, combine with heart trouble, is stated l to have caused her death.
