RESIGNATION DENIED. CONFLICTING STATEMENTS. Australian and N.Z, Cable Association. (Received March 1, 5.5 p/m.) LONDON, February 28. The “Morning Post” says that del spite official denials there is.-every rear son to believe its announcement'of Vis; count Allenby’s resignation -from the High Commissionership in Egypt is correct.
The Central News correspondent in Cairo states there is no truth in tM story of Viscount Alleuby’o resignation. (Sydney “Sun” Cable.) An official message from Cairo denies that Viseonnt Allenby has resigned, and London official circles declare it unlikely thatJm.jrill resign before the. conditions in Egypt are more settled.
