FATAL INFATUATION
DOUBLE SUICIDE IN SYDNEY. “THE GA.P” TRAGEDY. By Telegraph.—Press , Assn. —Copyright (Received March 1, 6:5 p.m.) SYDNEY, March 1. At the inquest on H. Smith and Mrs Bunce, who threw themselves over the cliff at “The Gap’’ on .February 18th, Mr Bunce gave evidence that his wife was of .intemperate habits, and that she lefy him two years ago, refusing to Jive in the bush. _ Other'evidence was given, to the effect that Mrs Bunce and 1 Sm\th . had known each other only i few days. They visited hotels together, ‘and the woman stated that she was in love • with Smith, and was going to marry him. A young woman’ gave evidenoe that she and Smith became engaged a month ago, and had arranged to meet the night before the tragedy. He failed to keep the engagementA verdict of suicide wob returned.
