AN ENTHUSIASTIC WORKER. MRS DORE RESIGNS. Wifeless# enthusiasts and listenen-ia generally will regret to learn that Mrs Dore, known as the “Mother of Wireless” in New Zealand has- voluntarily resigned her position at the Wellington Broadcasting Station. For the past 14 me nths she hae been actively associated in the work of developing broadcasting in New Zeeland, and her Sunday night concert* have prdvevf a source of enjoyment ■ and interest to hundreds of listeners-in. Mrs Dore states that she has resigned with great regret, hnt the- reasons for. her action ar© best known to listen-ers-in themselves. Broadcasting in New Zealand has lost a good friend in Mrs Dore, and her resignation will be keenly felt by all, interested in wireless in this Dominiqn. ’ It' was erroneously "broadcasted on Frjdav night that Mrs Dore had resigned as she proposed leaving Wellington. ■Mrs Dore announced to a “Times” reporter that this statement i* incorrect: She has no intention of leaving the city.
