“AIN’T SHE A STUNNER” COMMENTS ON WHARF. There was only one topic of conversation in Wellington yesterday, and that was the Aorangi. “Ain’t she a stunner?’’ was the general exclamation. Many who attempted to board the vessel were disappointed when passes were demanded and could not he produced. The contrast in size between the Aorangi and the Maheno, which left for Sydney in the morning, was the subject of much comment. “Jack Johnson and Little Tichl” was how one man humorously compared the two ships, while another was heard to remark that “Little Ma” (Maheno) has been overawed by her big sister and put properly on the shelf.’’ The contrast in the two vessels was most striking; the Aorangi dwarfing the Maheno into comparative insignificance.
