DR MERCER WILL SEE THAT IT IS COMPLETED. T Dr. M rcer, district 1 ealth officer, and Chief Inspector Lernell, visited Otaki -and made an inspection of the borough, more especially the drainage works. Both' expressed themselves greatly surprised at anyone suggesting that the scheme should 'be abandoned, and said they would sec that representations were made to the proper authorities in Wellington for money to complete the work. It is understood that Dr Mercer will make periodical visits to Otaki.—{Own Correspondent.) ■ ,
