AGRICULTURAL EDUCATION

FULL INQUIRY TO BE MADE. The Board of Agriculture, together with a representative of the Department of Agriculture and one from the Education Department, having been requested by the Government to undertake a full inquiry into agricultural education in New Zealand, including the extent to .which further instructional facilities need to be provided to adequately meet the reqirements of the Dominion as a whole, has now made its arrangements for carrying out this responsibility. The board will also have associated with it a representative ot the New Zealand University Senate. Sittings will commence in Wellington on Wednesday, March 4th, and will continue until the 6th idem for the purpose of hearing evidence, The board’s itinerary, as arranged, includes sittings in Auckland from March 10th to tho lStli, or possibly I.3th, and in Christchurch for two or three days from about March 16th. Tho University College Councils, tho board of Governors of Lincoln College, and educational organisations have been communicated with in order that they may have an opportunity of furnishing evidence, but quite apart from these bodies, any person who is desirous of giving evidence which would bo helpful to tho board in formulating its decisions is invited to communicate with the secretary to the board before the dates mentioned above.
