A NEW MOTOR-CYCLE RECORD
On Monday, February 16th, Paul' Remaley, riding a standard electric model Indian Scout, established a record from Sydney to Melbourne in the I under 600 c.c. class. His time was 15 i hours, 40 minutes, only an hour behind that of the over 600 c.c. record held by T. Benstead. Remaley rode through blinding rain from Albury to Melbourne, and the roads were in fearful condition. The previous under 600 cc. record for this journey was made by E. Tyler on a 31 h.p. Roder, in 1913, his time being 24 hours, 39} minutes.
