THE HARDY FORD

A PLEASANT FUNCTION. On Thursday a pleasant little function took place at Christchurch, when Messrs Jay and Wright, the local Ford distributors met a number of Ford owners and presented them with souvenirs, consisting of very handsome. nickelled eight-day motor-car clocks. Many, and varied were the experiences told by those present, particulars as to mileages nun, petrol consumption, etc., being freely exchanged. One Ford of 1913 vintage has completed over 200,000 miles, and is still doing splendid work. The Rev. J. S. Reid eulogistically referred to Henry Ford’s great service to the clergy in particular, in placing within their means a vehicle which enabled them to multiply their usefulness tenfold. Mr A. Nelson ingenuously remarked that no one had any chance of selling him a new oar. because he was so well satisfied with his 12-year-old Ford.
