WAR CASUALTIES
OFFICIAL GERMAN LIST. (Sydney "Sun”, Cable.) BERLIN, February 26. The official list of German war casualties shows that deaths numbered 2,055,000, and the wounded in the home army alone 4,248,000. ■ Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Received February 27, 10.40 p.m.) BERLIN, February 27. The Reich Statistics Office, publishing the exact figures of Germany’s war losses, that there were 2,055,000 dead, and 4,248,000 wounded.^
The casualties of the Great War are given as follow:Deaths. Wounded. British Empire .. 948,023 2,121,906 Erancei . 1,393,398 1,490,000 Italy . 460,000 947,000 U.S.A . 115,660 205,690 Austria . 1,200,000 3,620,000 Turkey 300,000 570,000 Bulgaria .. 101,224 ,152,400 Russia’s losses are uncertain, but were the greatest of all.
