CHEESE RUNS TO OIL
- FIRE IN STEAMER OPAWA. CONSIDERABLE DAMAGE. Renter's Telegram. (Received February 26, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, February 25. The owners of the Opawa have received a telegram from Perim stating that the fire in No. 8 hold ’tween decks is still serious, but is under control. Further damage has resulted, and the cheese is running to oil. Cargo ,is being removed.' It is probable that considerable damage has been done to cargo In'Nos. 1 and 2 holds. The temperature in the refrigerated < hamber is holding good, and the danger to these holds is primarily due to non-refrigerated cargo. • Part of tbe trunkwayß in No. 3 hold has been destroyed.
