A DOCK FOR WELLINGTON
HARBOUR BOARD CREATES FUND. ' ' £15,000 TO START. The port of Wellington, in addition to the lpodem facilities now installed, is to have a deck. The provision, or this, Mr G. Mitchell (chairman of the Hain’oour Board)- said in his report, will entail a very large capital expenditure, and in any case the nook cannot he constructed! until the harbour reclamation is completed/. Meanwhile the Harbour Board has created a dock fund- of £15,000, and set aside certain interest which will augment the fund by some £SOOO per annum. The fund will, -in addition, share in the annual balance. It is hoped to build up a fund of £150,000 in 10 -years.
