INCREASE ON YEAR. £321,527 HIGHER THAN IN 1923. The Custom* duties collected during the quarter ended! December 31st in New Zealand amounted to £1,892,164, maxing the total for the year >,7.480.947. The quarterly figure is about £46,000 lower than for 1923, hut for the year shows an increase of £293,886 The excise diuties collected) during the quarter totalled £202,648, only about £7OO behind the 1923 quarter, but £28,000 mere on the year. Customs and exci-e receipts together totalled £8,220.322 for the vear, or an increase of £321,527 on 1923.
