FATALLY BURNT
KEROSENE LAMP UPSETS. OLD MAN’S CLOTHES CATCH FIRE r>'- V r»„s Association. AUCKLAND, February 26. An old-age' pensioner, James Willan, suffered very severe burns as the result of a kerosene lamp upsetting in his whare at Dairy Flat,* near Albany, last night. Willan, who has lived, alone for some time, rushed out of the whare with his clothing on fire, and neighbours were attracted by the old man’s cries, and the flames were soon extinguished. Ho was taken to Birkenhead and afterwards to the hospital, where he died six hours after admission.
