RANGITIKEI RACING CLUB Since the last meeting of the Rangitikei Racing Club the scheme of improvements at the Bulls I'acecourse lias -been gone on -with. All the stands, the judge’s box and gates have been painted, giving the place a spick and span appearance. The publicans’ booth has been extended and enlarged, the public luncheon room added to, also a ladiee’ waiting room with up-to-date conveniences. The cost of the additions, alterations and improvements will run into some <£4so to M SCO. The racing track has also received attention. The start at the six furlongs has been widened from 53 feet to 74 feet. The track is in first-class order after the recent rains. The grass track topdressed since the last meeting was never better. The plough has also been extended and is now wide enough to run three horses abreast. For the convenience of visiting trainers several more small horse paddocks have been made, making a total of thirty paddocks. The new railing on the course is of silver pine, which is considered as good ao heart of totara. Visitors to Wanganui who saw the cup and the piece of plate presented for the principal event and the Fraser Memorial, were very pleased with them. Nominations for all events close with the secretary, H. A. Goodall, at Bulls, to-day at 9 p.m. The telephone and telegraph office will be open to 9 p.m.
