For the annual sports meeting of the Dannevirke Caledonian Society, which is to be held on Saturday, January 17th, a •splendid programme has -been prepared, and, the substantial sum of i&SQ in cash and trophies is provided by this very energetic society. All branches of sport are catered for. Amateur cycling and mile walk. .Cup for mile and half-mile to be won ohtrignl. Cebeau and Dickson Cup for piping to be *»on outright. Entries close on Saturday, January 3rd, with Mr S. Mackenzie, secretary.
