FOR THE TITLE. McDonald and Parker draw. Per Press Association. PALMERSTON N., December 26. Lachie McDonald, middleweight champion of New Zealand, and Eddie Parker, ex-champion, met to-night in a fifteen-round fight for the title and a purse of £2OO. The fight went the full distance, and ended in a draw. The decision was very popularly received. Parker was the aggressor most of the time, but McDonald, who led earlier in the fight, made up the leeway in the last two rounds. In the preliminaries, W. Strange (list) defeated M. Teece (list 21b) on points in three two-minute rounds. M. Carroll (Bst 91b) defeated J. Evans (Bst 41b) on points in six two-minute rounds. N. McKnight knocked out W. Walden (both list 21b) in the third round.
