THE DAWES PLAN
NOW IN FULL OPERATION. GERMANY COMPLYING. Reuter’s Telegram. (Received October 14, 7.30 p.m.) % PARIS, October 13. The (machinery of the Dawes plan was to-day set in full operation by the Reparations Commission issuing a formal declaration that Germany has fulfilled the preliminary conditions, including the installation of various international controlling bodies, the establishment of a company to administer the German railways, and the depositing of railway bonds and industrial debentures with trustees. THE BIG LOAN TERMS OF BRITAIN’S ISSUE. Renteria Telegram. LONDON, October 13. Tho British portion of the German loan, £12,000,000, is being underwritten in 7 per cent. 25-year sinking fund bonds, issued at 92,' and allotted as follows:—s per cent, on application, 25 per cent early in November 30 per cent, early in December, and 32 per cent, early in January. An authoritative opinion on the Stook Exchange is to the effect that the loan will go quickly. GERMANS' SMALL SHARE INDIGNATION IN FRANCE. (Siydney “Sun” Cable.) PARIS, October 13. Indignation is expressed that the German bankers are called on to take up less than one-thirtieth Of the loan, in spite of the amount of German gold secreted abroad.
