GOOD WINE NEEDS NO BUSH

(Old Proverb.) / * WHAT QUALITY MEANS. People of quality are always sought after, and so are goods of quality, hence the old proverb, “Good wine needs no bush." For this reason the goods that have %■ reputation for quality are always in demand. For this reason it is very interesting to learn why Lindsay's, Limited, are holding a sale of quality footwear just At the time when there is •a demand for summer goods and trade does not need to be stimulated. The reason for this sale is that the Home shippers have in error sent full ranges of lines for the summer wear trade without authorisation from this end. The goods are. here, therefore, at shippers* risk. What were they to do? Hold on to them until the season had advanced and endeavour to place them with the trade, or sell direct to the public to return the shippers their money? This latter course was decided on, • and so Lindsay’s, Limited, were instructed because they have a reputation for quality shoes, and the public would know that they were not lines bought for a sale, but first-grade goods. Lindsay's, Limited, have been selling quality goods since 1867. This unique sale of up-to-date footwear will definitely end on Wednesday next, October 22nd.
