CANTERBURY DESIRES ANOTHER JUDGE, Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, October 14. In respect Jfco this announcement that no further appointment is to bo made, to fill the position rendered vacant on the Supreme Court bench by the deathi of Sir John Salmond, the Canterbury Law Society, at a meeting held to-day, passed a resolution protesting against the reduction of the number of judges, and stressing the necessity of the appointment of an additional judge for Canterbury.
