PRESENTATION OF PICTURE
LORD LEVERHULME’S GIFT. Per Press Association. WANGANUI, September 12. This afternoon in the presence of a very large assembly at the Sarjeant Gallery, Lord Jellicoe handed over to the city the six magnificent pictures presented to the gallery by Lord Levernulme. The pictures are: “Curiosity,” by von Bless; ‘“Healthy Appetite,” by Sadler, “A Greek Water Carrier in Egypt,” by Sir William Richmond; “Thesfais,” by Burne Jones; “The Toast is Britain,” by Fred Roe; “The Fountain of Youth,” by Burne Jones. This collection has evoked enthusiastic praise from art critics.
