NORTH OTAGO LANDS

INDIGNANT FARMERS. “NOT NEARING EXHAUSTION,” Per Press Association. OAMARU, September 12. At a largely-attended meeting of the North Otago A. and P. Association to-day, a resolution was unanimously carried protesting against the report by the Commissioner of Crown Lands of Otago that the lands in North Otago were nearing exhaustion. It was decided that an invitation he sent to the Ministers for Lands and Agriculture, the member for the district, and the Commissioner of Crown Lands to visit the district. Several speakers contended that land in North Otago, instead of nearing exhaustion, had been immensely improved in recent yearß by judicious farming.
