In vipw of the disastrous fire in Kent terrace, and the number of families rendered homeless, would the Prime Minister have inquiry made, and if necessary render them assistance, asked Mr A. L. Monteith (Wellington East) in the House of Representatives j-ester-day. Prim© Minister: I noticed the account of tho fire in. the daily papers, I shall be very glad to have inquiries made'; and, if necessary, arrange to do what is possible for the families concerned.
