The other performers were most creditable; QUARTETTE. In this section the Waiata Quartette, who sang “O, Peaceful Night,” had a walk-over, and Mr Bennett North, in awarding them first prize, said that he would have liked to have seen more entries in the choir and quartette sections. He considered that this quartette was one of the finest he bad ever heard, and awarded them 95 marks. DEMONSTRATION CONCERT . THE CREAM OF THE COMPETITIONS. The second demonstration concert was given last evening, before a good house, by a further batch of prizewinners.
