THE ALL BUCKS
“WE HOPE TO MAKE GOOD ” LIGHT BACKS OUT OF PROPORTION TO HEAVY FORWARDS. COMMENT IN SYDNEY. Bv Telegraph.— Press Assn.—Copyright SYDNEY, July 7. Commenting on the All Blacks’ match, th© “Sydney Morning Herald” sa ys;—.“New Zealand’s light -backs appear to .'be out of proportion relatively. to the strong and heavy forwards, but there can be no question regarding the quality of the backs, for in attack they are fast and nippy. The forwards have great pace, and the heaviest men seem to he the fastest. “As a whole the All Blacks made many slips in endeavouring to take the i>all from a pass, probably through over-eagerness. An improvement, in this respect will render their displays more finished.”
The “Daily Telegraph” says: “It was a contest between youth and dash on the one hand and: hard-headed experience on the other.” Mr Little, manager of the New Zealand team, states: “We were beaten on our merits, but hope to make good later.”
