Through the auspices of the Labour Council, the unemployed of the oity have sent the following cable message to Mr Ramsay Macdonald: “A mass meeting of unemployed has decided to cable you to furnish funds for a thousand British immigrants who are destitute in this State, and have no local help. The position is desperate.”
