AMERICANS’ SLOW PROGRESS. ONE ’PLANE WRECKED. (Sydney “Sun” Cable.) WASHINGTON, March 21Of the three ’planes which started on a flight round the world, one has arrived at Portland (Oregon). The second 'plane was totally wrecked. The aviators were unhurt. According to earlier information, four ’planes set out on the trip from Santa Monica (near Los Angeles) at dawn last Monday. The airmen intended to make halts at Sacramento and Portland on their, way to Alaska.
