LISTEN TO CHICAGO
EXPERIMENT IN BROADCASTING. NEXT SUNDAY NIGHT. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright SYDNEY, March 22. An interesting experiment in longdistance wireless telephonic communication between America and Australia is being made on Sunday night, March 30th. The “Chicago Tribune" has arranged to broadcast a three-hour speech and musical programme from its wireless station on the Beach Hotel, Chicago. Extra power will be used, ana a special organisation created in the endeavour to reach Australia and New Zealand. The experiments will be made between the hours of 10.30 and 1.30, New Zealand time. The station call at Chicago is WJAZ, and the wave-length 448 metres. Amateur experimenters are requested to listen-in. Sir George Fenwick will be amongst tlio speakers.
