NEW BUILDING BY-LAWS
PROVISION FOR WIDER STREETS. The Oity Council last night adopted a new by-law which lftys it down that 2n certain streets, namely Buckie street, Arthur street, Aro street, Taranaki street and Ghuxnee street, no one shall erect any new build-ng po as to cause any part of it to stand within 66 feet from the opposite side line < of the street. Where such a building was now in existence, the council is to have authority to order it to be so altered, at the expense of the owner, so as to conform with the by-law.
