MURDER OF A GIRL
VILLAIN LEAVES NO TRACE, GROSS VIOLATION. Australian and N.Z Cable Association. LONDON, March 18. The police admitted at the inquest on Vera Hoad, aged 12, wbo was found outraged and stranged near Chichester on February 27th, that they had no evidence to clear up the mystery. Her sister deposed that the deceased had no male friends, exoept schoolboys. Medical evidence showed that the child had been grossly violated. The coroner’s verdict was wilful mur. der by a person unknown.
