HEAT WAVE IN SOUTH RUSH FOR THE WATER. Per Press Association. ASHBURTON, January 28. Yesterday’s heat wave caused a stampede to all the available bathing places. The river was crowded with bathers from Green street to twenty miles of the river month. At some places down the river dozens of motorcars were parked while bathers indulged in a bath.
