WELLINGTON!AN’S CLIMB. PROBABLE ATTEMPT ON MOUNT COOK. According to advice received in Wellington yesterday, Mr Jack Rawnsley, one of the members of the Tararua Tramping Club who stayed behind at the Hermitage, in the hope of seeing further ascents, has been rewarded with some success. With Mr Frank Milne as guide, and together with Miss Theomir., of Dunedin, he climbed Mt. Hamilton (J9lstt\ Another good climb was Malte Bran (10,421 ft), which was ascended by Air Rawnsley and Professor and Mis Algie, of Auckland, with the assistance of Guides Milne and Murrell. Weather conditinos hold good, and it is anticipated that Mr Rawnsley will make an attempt on Mt. Cook.
