MAGISTRATE’S COURT
_ YESTERDAY’S SITTING. POLICE AND MAINTENANCE CASES, Mr C. R. Orr-Walker, S.M., presided at yesterday’s sitting of the Magistrate’s Court, when police and maintenance cases were dealt with. Two first offenders for insobriety were Sped the amount of their hail, 10s. Another first offender was convicted and discharged. Robert William Wil«>n made his fifth appearance for insobriety, and was fined JBZ, in default 21 days’ imprisonment. ROGUE AND VAGABOND. Aj month’s imprisonment was imposed upon William John Newman, who was charged with being a rogue and a vagabond, in that he was found on -private premises without lawful exouse. Senior-Sergeant Lander said the accused had a long list of previous convictions for insobriety, and had a diglike for work. MAINTENANCE CASES. Maintenance cases were dealt with by Mr C. R. Orr-Walker, S.M. James McCarthy, arrears, j 67 10s, sentenced to one month's imprisonment, the warrant to be suspended so long as £2 10s per week is paid. Separation, maintenance, and guardianship orders wire made in favour of Rose Gray against her husband, John Richard Gray, who wap .ordered to pay £1 5s per week.
