WANTED BOY FARMERS FIRST BATCH TO ARRIVE Ilf MARCH. FARMERS IN CONFERENCE.” The Dominion executive of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union will hold its usual quarterly meeting at Wellington on Wednesday next. The following important questions will then be discussed:—Mutual fire insurance, the method of election of the Dairy Control Board and junior immigration. At the last meeting of the executive, at the end of October, the Dominion secretary (Colonel Pow) was given authority to inaugurate a junior immigration scheme for IDO boys. Up to the present, close upon 160 farmers all over New Zealand have applied for one or more of these hoys. Their faves will, of course, be paid by the Government, and the first batch of boys (about 20 to 25) is expected to arrive in Wellington about the middle of March. As 6oon as they arrive they will be sent straight to the farmer applicants to whom they are allotted.
