SCHOOL FOR FARMERS

SESSIONS AT DARGAVILLE. Per Press Association. DARGAVILLE, January 25. A large and enthusiastic meeting of various associations in the district was held yesterday to consider the questions of the establishing of farm sessions similar to those held at Ruakura experimental farm and on the same lines as the Stratford model farm in this district. Practically every association, local body, and institution in the district was represented. It was unanimously decided, after the schemes had been thoroughly explained by Mr A. R. Valder, to approach the Government to take steps to establish an experimental farm as suggested in the district, also to hold farm sessions. Matters of finance were discussed, and an executive committee was set up, and preliminary arrangements are being made. The need for the establishment of a farm in the district was amply illustrated by several speakers, who were confident that, if started, it could be run as successfully and economically as those now established.
