LOAN FOR HUNGARY
FINANCIAL SITUATION LEAGUE OOAIMITTEE AGREES TO PROPOSAL. CONTROLLER TO BE APPOINTED. By Telegraph.—Press Assn. —Copyright Australian and N.Z Cable Association. LONDON, January 23. A sub-oommittee of the League of Nations has concluded its work as regards the financial reconstruction of Hungary by unanimously accepting a loan proposal. This will be forwarded to the Reparations Commission for approval. The loan will be 2no million " nrl crowns, to be used in two and • half years, repayable in twenty years, during which time the Treaty charges will he limited. - The League will appoint a non-A!hed General Controller of certain securities, on which the Reparations Commission will raise liens to be pledged lor me service of the loan. The terms of the protocol, which has been drawn up as regards the political conditions of the lean, n’-ovio-” mat there shall be no political disturbance* between Hungary and other nations.
