The annual report of the Aborigines Protection Board shows that the native population' continues steadily to decrease. It is estimated that fullbloods total 1214, as compared with 1238 in 1917, and lialfbreeds 4783, as compared with 4921. The aborigines in the North Coast are badly infected with the hookworm disease. These figures refer to New South Wales. After the census of 1921 the number of full-blooded aborigines in all Australia was estimated at about 60,000.
