LICENSE-HOLDER FINED. Per Press Association. ASHBURTON, November 23. Licensed to retain a .32 Colt revolver which he had used throughout the war, Norrie Griffin Pigeon was charged that he failed to notify the police when changing his address to Westport. The Ashburton police sergeant said this was his second case under the recent Act of allowing returned soldiers to retain their war weapons. Both cases wore hank clerks. Counsel for defendant: Do you attach significance to that last remark? The police sergeant: I do not know whether any significance can be' attached. Defendant was fined 6s without costs.
