POSITION OF STEAMERS, DUCHESS OFF SLIP. The monthly Teport of the borough manager (Mr R. B. Witty) to the Eastbourne Borough Council shows an increase of £245 in revenue for the past month. The t.K.3. Mnritai is running well and economically, and is much in demand for picnics and special trips. The Duchess was to come off the slip on Thursday, one plate having been put in her side. The work of erecting the circulating pump is in hand, and the new boiler has been • lifted. There' is still a good deal to do. 1 The winch on the Cobar has been completely overhauled, and will handle any cargo or ordinary building material. It should be in position early next week.
