“Truancy, as we know it,” said Dr. J. W. Mtllwraitli at the Auckland Rotary Club, “is absolutely dead. In my ten years' experience as at inspector, I have not come, across one deliberate case cf truancy, it i*» so dead that the Education Board has altered the title of truant inspector to that of attendance officer.”
