LOAN FOR GERMANY
UNITED STATES EXPECTATIONS. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Received October 28, 5.5 p.m.) NEW YORK, October 26. The “New York Times’* Washington correspondent says the State Department now hopes that out of the general economic conference, affecting all the Powers directly interested in the reparations question, it will make a loan to Germany in which American bankers will participate. Success of the proposed steps is expected, especially since the United States considers the French acceptance of the American plan quite satisfactory and not likely to limit the effectiveness of tho experts’ activities.
