CONCRETE HOUSES
FOUR ROOMS FOR £450!
Practical proof of a statement made eome time ago by the Rev. C. H. Grant Cowen, Auckland, that a four-roomed ferro-concpete house could be erected for £450, has been given by the completion of a house far this price in Glasgow road, Ellerslio. The total cost of the house and a quarter-acro section is £6OO. The house contains a living room, 17ft by 13ft in size, two bedrooms 10 by 13, and 10 by 10, and a fair-sized kitchen, from which open out a wash-house and bathroom. The house is designed so that additions can readily be made to any portion. The house has been erected by an Auckland citizen for the purpose of demonstrating that the statement made by Mr Grant Cowen was correct.
