From April Ist. to date some fifty-one permits for buildings have been issued at Eastbourne, tho estimated value being £19,567. Fees xiaid amounted to £47.
Kates collected for the month totalled £993 17s, making a total of £I7S3 Is 6d for the half-year. The proportion collected, however, does not comparo favourably with previous years as at this date. Reminders are io be sent out to ratepayers during the coming month.
