RIFLE SHOOTING
SUBURBS RIFLE CLUB. Tho most important competition of the season, namely, tho club ahnmpionefiip, will commence on tho Trentham range on Saturday afternoon. Ten shots at 300 and 500 yards. Considerable interest is always taken in this competition, and to all appearances the forthcoming championship series will he even more keenly contested. The coveted position of club champion was won last year by Rifleman T. Goodail. Programmes for the North Lslnnd rifle championship meeting, to he held at Wanganui on Deeomlicr 2till and 28th, have been received and circulated Peveral members of the club attended the last meeting at Wanganui, and Rifleman H. R. Hunt was successful in winning the North Island championship.
