POLICEMAN’S DEATH
CHARGE OF MANSLAUGHTER. BOY FOUND GUILTY. By Telegraph.—Press Assn. —Copyright. SYDNEY, October 25. Frederick Joseph Smith, aged 15 years, a ward of the State, has been found guilty of manslaughter at Bendigo. Smith worked for several firms, and was accused of thefts. Constable Delaney rode into a yard towards him; Smith levelled a gun, and in a scuffle Delaney was shot by Smith. The boy has been remanded for sentence.
